Every passage on this site was written and published by someone else. This page says who, what we show from their work and on what basis, and how a publisher can reach us.
Ask a gospel question in a general search engine and everything comes back at once: the talk you wanted, a stranger's blog, a forum thread, and pages written to unsettle faith rather than to inform it. Latter-day Search looks only in a curated set of sources, the Church's own publications and faithful scholarship, and its whole job is to send you to them.
As far as we know, no other tool searches these sources together by meaning. We reproduce only the passage that matched, enough to show whether the full source is the right place to look, and every card links to it. The value of a result is the reader who follows that link.
latter-day-research-ingest and links to this page. It fetches each source on a schedule, from daily during General Conference to monthly, and a publisher who wants it to stop can write to us.For each library: who publishes it, what we hold, and the basis on which it is shown. Where a publisher reserves all rights, we show excerpts that link back to the original and will remove or limit the library at the publisher's request. We welcome a license or written permission and will work within whatever terms a publisher sets.

If you publish one of these sources and want a library removed, limited, or shown differently, write to greg@latterdayhope.com. Tell us which library or documents you mean and how to reach you. We acknowledge every request within one business day and act within 48 hours, taking the material out of search while we talk. The feedback form reaches us too and needs no account.
We believe this use, an index that helps a reader find a passage and reproduces only the paragraph that matched, with a link to the original, is consistent with fair use. Where a publisher has granted a license we follow its terms; where a publisher reserves all rights we rely on that belief and on the removal promise above. That is our good-faith understanding, not a legal determination, and a publisher's wishes about its own work come first.
