Sharing
Share a set of results or a notebook with a link.
You can share two things: a set of search results and a notebook. Both need an account, and both work the same way. Sharing takes a snapshot, a copy frozen at that moment, and gives you a link to it. Anyone with the link can open it without signing in. Shared pages are not indexed by search engines, so they are found only by people you give the link to.
Sharing a search
Above the results, click "Share". The button appears only once the search has been saved to your history and has at least one result. The link is copied to your clipboard right away, with the toast "Share link copied to clipboard.", and a dialog shows the link with "Copy" and "Open in new tab".
The snapshot keeps the cards exactly as they are on your screen: in the order you dragged them into, without any cards you removed, and with the source card if there is one. A visitor whose screen has a different number of columns sees the same order, dealt out row by row into their columns. Each click of "Share" makes a new link.
Visitors see your query as the title and a line such as "12 results · read-only snapshot". They can copy a passage with its citation, open its source and expand it for context, but they cannot rearrange the cards or save them to a notebook. Your name and the date are not shown.
Sharing a notebook
Open the notebook and click "Share" under its title. "Snapshot (frozen)" is the only kind of share. Click "Create share link" and copy the link from the box; every click creates a new link. A notebook needs at least one passage before it can be shared.
Visitors see the title, the passages arranged as they are in your notebook (dealt out row by row if their screen has a different number of columns), and your notes. A "Make a copy" button lets them save an editable copy, arrangement included, into their own account, after signing in. Their copy is separate from your notebook. Notebook links made from October 2026 on keep the columns; older links, and copies made from them, keep the order only.
What a link does, and does not, do
- A link cannot be turned off or taken back from the app.
- Deleting the search from your history, or deleting the notebook, does not remove the link.
- Changes you make later do not reach the link. It shows what was there when you shared.
- Deleting your account removes every link you created.
So before you share, check that the results or the notes hold nothing you would rather keep private. If something must come down, deleting the account is the one way to do it; see Your data and privacy.
